Description - This basket begins with a 3.5” x 6.5” oak slotted base that students will insert spokes into, following a template. The sides begin with three-rod wale with a step-up. The main design is the Japanese diamond pattern, which participants will learn. It is done in round and flat oval reed. There is a touch of color on the rim. Slower weavers may need to rim after class. The instructor will bring kits in several colors.
Students should know how to do three-rod wale. Step-ups will be reviewed.
Usual basket tools including needle nose pliers, scissors, angle cutters, spray bottle, towel, clips, packers, tape measure, scraper & cutting board, and any other tools you find useful.
