Flat Strip of oak bent into U shape with holes for oak Clothes Pin ears with 5/8" closed notches on each side of the ear.
This ear is placed down over the rim row so it is sandwiched in the rim with the inside and outside rims fitting into the notches and the tips of the ear will be inserted into the weaving on the inside and outside of the basket.
Ear measurements: 3/4" wide opening (1" from side of ear loop ro the other), 5" long. Ear wood is approximately 3/8" wide.
Only the tip of the ear should be inserted into one or two rows of the weaving. Ear tip can be trimmed to fit shorter baskets.
Handle measurements: 21" long 8" wide (spread across basket) x 1" wide wood, approximately 1/8" thick. Handle is 8" high and 30" overall from tip to tip.
Ears can be switched out but ONLY come with the clothes pin style.
All wooden handles require some degree of sanding.
